Background

The recent youth consultation carried out by Kirkhill and Bunchrew Community Trust identified a significant demand for new sporting facilities. At the same the time the KDAA had been considering the need to resurface the tennis court. This has led to a proposal to redevelop the tennis court in Kirkhill into a multi use games area that could allow a variety of sports to take place. The area could be floodlit to maximise use through the winter.

A working group has been formed which now needs to gather information from the community on what sort of facility is required and who would be interested in using it. There needs to be a positive response from the community if this project is to happen. If you think you or your club would use such a facility please take a short amount of time to tell us. You may have an idea for a new activity or wish to help take this forward.
